Nam Can Economic Zone is located along corridor of National Highway 1, belonging to Nam Can District, Ca Mau Province. It includes Nam Can townlet, Ham Rong, Hang Vinh communes, Ong Do hamlet and Dat Moi commune. Natural area covers 10,801 hectares and with a population of 34, 496 people.
It is estimated up to 2030 population of Nam Can Economic Zone will be from 75000-90000 people, and urban construction land of about 1,500 hectares, being one of 15 marine economic zones particularly important in the whole country according to development strategy of Vietnam coastal economic zones system vision to 2020.
The development objective of the Nam Can economic zone is to exploit maximum advantage of natural conditions, economic geography, to make use of it becoming transaction development center on economic, trade, services, tourism, industry, important clue about security, national defense, contributing to boost socioeconomic development of Ca Mau province and Mekong Delta region.
Nam Can economic zone includes two main functional zones, which are non-tariff zone and tariff zone. In this, tariff zone has functional areas such as the waterfront and port logistics, industrial parks, tourism, resorts, recreation, parks and distribution area and aquaculture areas and forest, urban residential area, administrative area.
As oriented, it would build and develop Nam Can economic zones with the key industries such as mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and repairing, assembly, electronics, export marine products processing industry, industry and petroleum services, clothing, construction materials...
- Khanh An Industial zone

Perspective of Khanh An Industrial Zone |
Location: Khanh An commune, U Minh district, Ca Mau province. Khanh An Industrial Park is located adjacent to the gas - electricity - fertilizer Ca Mau industrial complex.
The total area of 360ha.
The secondary projects calling for investment in Khanh An Industrial Zone includes industries using low-pressure gas used as raw materials, fuel, liquefied gas industry, chemical; mechanical industry, high technology, electronics, consumer goods, processing produces from agricultural - forestry - fishery products.
Investment mode: direct investment, domestic and foreign.
Industrial land area invites for investment: 216.79ha.
Total estimated investment capital for projects needed to attract 4,336 billion VND
- Hoa Trung Industrial Zone
Location: Luong The Tran commune, Cai Nuoc district and Ly Van Lam commune, Ca Mau City, Ca Mau province
Total area: 352ha.
Secondary projects called for investment into Hoa Trung industrial zone including the fields : processing seafood for export, chemical finished products, processed food serving aquaculture and industry assisting production, processing…
Investment mode: direct investment, domestic and foreign.
Industrial land area invites for investment: 19ha.
Total estimated investment capital for projects needed to attract 380 billion VND.
- Song Doc Industrial Zone:
Location: Khanh Hai commune and Song Doc townlet, Tran Van Thoi district.
The total area of 250ha.
Secondary projects calling for investment in Song Doc industrial zone includes sectors: seafood processing, food production, animal husbandry and aquaculture, industry; mining services, fishing, ship, boat repairing services.
Investment mode: direct investment, domestic and foreign.
Industrial land area invites for investment: 28,78ha.
Total estimated investment capital for projects needed to attract :576 billion VND.
- Nam Can Industrial Zone
Location: Hang Vinh commune, Nam Can townlet, Nam Can district.
Total area: 515ha, in which: stage I: 223,8ha.
Secondary Projects called for investment in Nam Can industrial Zone include branches, sectors: sea port industry; repairing services, seagoing vessel new construction; base depot serving entrepot, imported commodities attached to Nam Can port; production and processing industry of products made from wood, aquatic products and seafoods processing.
