International workshop on enhancing accuracy in medical imaging diagnosis through Artificial Intelligence solutions
On the morning of November 15, 2024, the Department of Health of Ca Mau province, in collaboration with Canon Medical System Corporation (Japan), organized an international workshop themed “Revolutionizing medical imaging: Enhancing accuracy in medical imaging diagnosis through Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions”.

Delegates at the workshop.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a prominent trend across all global sectors, and healthcare is no exception. The application of AI in healthcare is increasingly widespread, promising positive impacts on treatment and patient care, especially in hard-to-reach areas such as rural or remote regions. Research on AI in medical imaging is proliferating and is widely applied, with the current capabilities of AI in this field significantly assisting doctors throughout the imaging diagnosis process, from generating high-quality images for analysis to automatically producing reports using AI.
At the workshop, speakers provided information and evaluations on the benefits of AI technology in treating and caring for the health of the population, particularly in the imaging diagnosis process. Additionally, they introduced and disseminated new solutions that apply artificial intelligence technology to enhance accuracy in medical imaging, such as integrating AI in radiology to improve diagnostic precision; utilizing AI for in-depth analysis of certain diseases related to the lungs, liver, and brain; all-in-one ultrasound technology and comprehensive solutions for liver, endocrine, cardiovascular issues, and Shearwave elastography; and using AI to control MRI imaging, among others.
The workshop is expected to serve as a space for connecting and exchanging scientific knowledge, sharing diverse aspects that shape new directions. It will also provide new medical technology information to doctors and healthcare staff, enabling them to promptly grasp new technological features to increase the effectiveness of treatment and patient care.
