Trapping
Trap is a fishing tool to exploit river fish and sticking for a long time with people in Ca Mau rural.

There are 3 types of this trap: lead trap, bamboo trap and net trap.
Lead trap is made of lead wire. This trap usually has 4 edges and 4 faces.
Bamboo trap is made from bamboo. This trap usually has 2 faces and the locals call it ball cake trap. The trap can also be made up to 4 faces, shapes as well as lead trap.
Net trap is woven with nets. This trap usually has a circular frame, made of bamboo and has 2 faces.
The similarities of these traps is having space for the fish to breathe and have their mouths to pour them out.
Wanderer requires technical and skillful, the product must be durable, beautiful and glossy. The faces system must ensure the fish easy to come in and hard to come out.

Trapping is only commonly used un fresh-water land, rice-growing areas, where there are many coincidentally abundant fishes.
Ca Mau people often trapping in floating season (from May to December each lunar year) or when it is raining, people are trapping to catch fish which swim in the field to looking for reproduction.
Fishermen often choose places where there are many freshwater fishes live, shelter such as canals, shallow water level; rice paddies, or light water that fish can swim. When trapping, often use grass for the fish to go to trap. It is also possible to drop baits when trapping to feed the fish and “run” (come in trap).
Usually trapping about half an hour to 1-2 hours can be “pour out” (fish harvest). Fish “run” as living in a natural environment, usually not dead and be fresh. Fish “run” mainly.
