Organizing activities to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (03/12/1992 - 03/12/2024)
The Association for the protection of disabled people and orphans in Ca Mau province has issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate the International Day of the Disabled People (December 3, 1992 - December 3, 2024).

Mr. Tran Hieu Hung, Director of the Ca Mau Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (the flag bearer at the event), encourages the spirit of the disabled athletes participating in the Ca Mau Marathon 2024.
The plan focuses on raising public awareness about policies for people with disabilities, as well as providing protection, care, and support through various forms of assistance. It continues to call on organizations, government agencies, social groups, businesses, and philanthropists to assist in vocational training and employment solutions for people with disabilities. It also aims to provide financial support to help people with disabilities create self-employment opportunities, thereby improving their income and quality of life.
The goal is to promote understanding, empathy, and care to help people with disabilities integrate into society and overcome challenges. It emphasizes the proactive, positive, and confident roles that disabled individuals play in participating in the local economy and social activities. The plan encourages timely support and motivation for people with disabilities, enabling them to assist others in similar situations and helping them overcome life’s difficulties. Activities will be organized in a way that addresses the “legitimate wishes and needs” of people with disabilities.
The plan highlights the importance of communication in raising public awareness, improving the mental well-being of disabled people, and creating a positive ripple effect within society. Media, associations, and social organizations will play a key role in spreading information about programs, policies, and success stories. The goal is to widely publicize favorable policies and introduce exemplary individuals and stories of overcoming adversity for others to learn from and follow.
