Ca Mau has many interlacing small and large canals such as Quan Lo - Phung Hiep, Ca Mau - Bac Lieu, Cho Hoi - Huyen Su, Chac Bang, Ba Keo, Bien Nhi canal etc.
There are many canals such as: Rach Sau, Lung Lam, Ba Buong, Ba Thanh, Ba Keo, Ba Dang, Ong Do, Ong Tinh, Ong Dinh, Ong Don, Rach Lum, Rach Cui, Rach Rang, Rach Dinh, Rach Tet, Rach Den etc. Ca Mau has many lagoons, in which the most outstanding is Ba Tuong lagoon (also called Thi Tuong lagoon). This is the biggest lagoon and also a landscape in Ca Mau. The lagoon divided into 3 sections: Upper Lagoon, Central Lagoon, Lower Lagoon. The widest distance between two shores is about 2km. Its length is 7km. Thi Tuong lagoon is shallow with many shrimps, fishes, and an attactive eco-tourism destination.
