Up to September 30, on Ca Mau provincial area there are two (02) power plants (Ca Mau 1 and Ca Mau 2) located in the Ca Mau gas-power-fertilizer complex, with capacity of 1,500MW, connected already to national electricity network. Yearly from 7 to 8 billion kw/h electricity have been provided. 101/101 communes, wards, townlets have been supplied with national power grid. 278.227/290.179 households have used electricity, accounting for 95,88%. Power supply for production, activities on the provincial area got from the transformer station 220/110KV with capacity of 2 x 250 MWA, laid about 500m far from the industrial zone land mark.
 

Presently, Ca Mau province has realised the upgrading of 220 transformer stations at six districts and Ca Mau City; built and improved 363,7 km of medium and low voltage lines, single phase current 12,7KV shifted to three-phase current 22KV. It is to newly build a three phase curerent 22 KV medium voltage line, 04 transformer stations with capacity of 870KVA and intensify capacity of 12 transformer stations  reaching at capacity nearly 940 KVA. It is estimated the project will be completed at the end of  2015, able to ensure supplying stably power to about 5,000 ha of industrial shrimp farming land of province.
