On the afternoon of November 5, 2024, the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Ca Mau province organized a meeting with prestigious people among ethnic minorities.

At the meeting, delegates were informed about the results of ethnic work in the first 10 months of 2024. The most prominent is the implementation of programs and policies to support ethnic minorities and ethnic minority areas, creating favorable conditions for housing, production land, and loans for ethnic minority households. Thereby, contributing significantly to the implementation of the targets and tasks of the sustainable poverty reduction plan for ethnic minority areas. In 2024, the poverty rate among ethnic minorities in the whole province is estimated to decrease by 2% or more, and in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions, it will decrease by 3% or more. 

Also at the conference, delegates who are prestigious people in ethnic minorities expressed their thoughts and contributions on local performance of duties. Since then, the leaders of the Provincial Ethnic Committee promptly resolved difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for prestigious people to promote their role in participating in propaganda activities, mobilizing ethnic minorities to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, building the great national unity bloc, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the province. At the same time, implement the plan to propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws. Mobilize ethnic minorities to effectively carry out patriotic emulation movements, especially the movement to build new rural areas, reduce poverty sustainably, and develop the local socio-economy of ethnic minorities.
