Mr. Le Van Su, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received Indian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City
On the morning of October 4, 2024, Mr. Le Van Su, Vice-Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, had a meeting with Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Indian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City for a courtesy visit.

At the meeting, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, informed: In the exchange and cooperation activities between India and Vietnam, more than 30 Indian departments have come to Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities of Vietnam to meet and exchange and vice versa. Currently, the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has more than 100,000 Indian member enterprises that have established representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City, opening up many opportunities for cooperation between enterprises of the two countries. It is believed that in the coming time, there will be many trade connection activities between Indian enterprises and provinces and cities in the Southern region. In the future, the Government of India and the Consul General personally pledge to always be ready to accompany and support Ca Mau province in the cooperative relationship for mutual development in all fields, especially in education, training, tourism, etc. At the same time, we would like to sincerely thank the leaders of Ca Mau province for having cooperation programs, exchanges and accompanying the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, especially the province's recent visit to learn about India.
Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, invited Ca Mau province, as well as other provinces in the Mekong Delta region, to jointly organize “India Day” to promote and invite Indian businesses to invest in areas where Ca Mau province and other provinces in the Mekong Delta region have strengths such as energy and seaports. This will create a bridge to build an increasingly stronger cooperative relationship in the future.
At the reception, Mr. Le Van Su, Vice-Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Indian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City in the diplomatic relations between India and Vietnam. In recent times, trade activities, investment promotion, cultural exchange between India and Vietnam in general and Ca Mau province in particular have developed remarkably. Although there have not been any breakthrough results, they are an important premise for cooperation and development in the coming time.
Ca Mau province has great potential in renewable energy, eco-tourism, deep-water ports, etc. These are the top priority areas in investment promotion and cooperation between Ca Mau and Indian enterprises. In addition, we hope that the Consul General will continue to connect and support Ca Mau province in training human resources in the fields of health and information technology. Ca Mau province commits to direct functional sectors, the Investment Promotion Center and support provincial enterprises to realize cooperation ideas into specific actions for implementation in the coming time.
Mr. Le Van Su, Vice-Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, accepted the invitation of Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City to organize “India Day” and will report this information to the leaders of Ca Mau province to have the earliest response to the Consul General.
